MBJ / MLD Models
Standard on the FSR model, the 5-speed direct-drive MBJ transmission features rugged components for increased reliability in extreme operating conditions. A six-speed direct-drive transmission, the MLD, is standard on the FTR and certain FVR models.
The F-Series suspension reduces vibration and increases comfort by isolating the vehicle from road shock. Shackle-type front and rear leaf springs are standard on the FSR and FTR. To handle heavier loads, the FVR uses either sliding- or trunnion-type rear springs.
OHC MECHANISM
The outstanding performance of ISUZU engines is due in large part to advanced overhead camshaft design. By reducing valve train friction and allowing larger valve diameters, OHC design maximizes combustion efficiency. Moreover, engine layout is improved. The result is excellent output and torque across the rpm range. |
